Course Description

Forces College of Nursing offers one of Pakistan’s pioneering bachelor’s degree programs in nursing. Our four-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program equips students with the essential knowledge, skills, and professional values needed to become clinically competent nurses. 2. 2-YEARS POST-RN BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN NURSING

Course Description

In today’s evolving healthcare landscape, nurses must possess a broad spectrum of knowledge and skills to meet the increasing complexities of patient care. The Post-RN Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program equips nurses with advanced nursing concepts, enabling them to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care while continuously enhancing their practice.

Recognizing the global shift from diploma-based training to degree programs, the Pakistan Nursing Council (PNC) and the Government of Pakistan have played a pivotal role in advancing nursing education. While this transformation occurred internationally nearly five decades ago, Pakistan is now embracing this essential progression to align with global healthcare standards.

The Post-RN BSN program is designed to develop critical thinkers, clinical leaders, and patient advocates who contribute to illness prevention and health promotion in hospitals and communities alike. Graduates will be well-positioned to drive meaningful changes in nursing practice and will have a strong educational foundation to pursue higher studies, including Master’s and Ph.D. programs in nursing and healthcare.

3. BSM (Bachelor of Science in Midwifery)

Course Description

The Bachelor of Science in Midwifery (BSM) programme is a four-year undergraduate degree that prepares students to become skilled midwives. 

Midwifery is the profession of midwives and has a unique body of knowledge, skills and professional attitudes drawn from disciplines shared by other health professions such as science and sociology but practiced by midwives within a professional framework of autonomy, partnership, ethics, and accountability. Midwifery care is provided by an autonomous midwife. Midwifery competencies (knowledge, skills, and attitudes) are held and practiced by midwives, educated through a pre-service/pre-registration.

This programme focuses on woman-centered care, emphasizing:

  • Midwifery principles and practices
  • Maternal and child health
  • Reproductive health
  • Health promotion and disease prevention
  • Clinical skills and critical thinking

CAREER OPTIONS UPON COMPLETION OF 2-YEARS BSM

BSM graduates can work in hospitals, maternity clinics, and community health centers as midwives. They can pursue careers in maternal healthcare education, research, and policymaking. Opportunities also exist in NGOs, international health organizations, and private midwifery practice.
